Campaña informativa del proyecto Huella Única en Reservas de Chile y Bolivia
AGA Off-Road project information campaign in the protected areas of Chile and Bolivia
This year the AGA Off-Road Project reached many tourists visiting the protected areas of Los Flamencos in Chile and Eduardo Avaroa in Bolivia, with its information campaign about the environmental impacts of off-road driving. With support from WCN we have printed 20,000 brochures (English and Spanish versions), 1,000 posters and 400 stickers, which are being distributed at information centres and entrances of the two national parks, and among tourist agencies in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) and Ayuni (Bolivia). Visitors, protected area staff and governments have a better understanding of the extent of the problem of unregulated tourism in Andean regions. We have secured funding for two more years from the Darwin Initiative in UK.
