Un paseo por el mundo Altoandino: Conociendo la biodiversidad Altoandina y el gato Andino, Bolivia

El Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de la ciudad de La Paz y el Museo de Historia Natural Alcide d’Orbigny de la ciudad de Cochabamba abrieron sus puertas para la exposición:"Un paseo por el mundo Altoandino: conociendo la biodiversidad Altoandina y el gato Andino". La exposición, una iniciativa del AGA Bolivia a la cabeza de Daniela Ulloa y Alejandra Torrez, estuvo abierta entre Julio y Septiembre del presente año y niños de varias escuelas, familias y turistas aprendieron sobre el gato Andino y cómo ayudar a conservarlo. El recorrido es una secuencia de paneles con fotografías que permite a los visitantes informarse y divertirse. El Museo d’Orbigny ahora considera la creación de un evento anual: el “Día del Gato Andino”! Con el apoyo financiero de WCN el proyecto permitió capacitar educadores ambientales y elaborar nuevos materiales educativos.

A walk through the High Andean world: Knowing High Andean biodiversity and the Andean cat, Bolivia
The National Museum of Natural History of La Paz and the Museum of Natural History Alcide d'Orbigny of Cochabamba opened their doors to the exhibition: "A Walk in the High Andean World: getting to know the Andean cat and the Andean biodiversity", an initiative of AGA Bolivia. Between July and September this year, school children, families and tourists visiting the exhibition learnt about Andean cats and how to help protecting them. The walk is a sequence of panels with photographs that allows visitors to learn and have fun. Now the d'Orbigny Museum is considering an annual ‘Andean Cat Day’! Thanks to the support of WCN the project trained new environmental educators and produced fresh education materials.
